Day 14 - Moraine Lake
This place is incredible.
Just when you think you've seen all the lake variation in the world... you arrive here.
Moraine Lake is bluer than blue.
(it gets also incredibly crowded and by 10.00 people have parked a mile down the road and the road itself is shut until later)
Pinch-yourself blue.
Can't-stop-looking-at-it blue.
Mr M was not well (at all) and the weather was a bit meh, so we chilled and relaxed. After the shenanigans of the previous two weeks we deserved a day off.
We stayed at the Lodge right on the lake and it was the perfect spot.
oh no, poor Mr M, I hope he's ok now x
oh that blue. I want to paint my house that colour x

Hope Mr M is feeling much better. Have been so enjoying all your postcards from Canada--so astonishingly beautiful! xx

My family and I were in Jasper, Lake Louise, and the Kootenays just last week for our rv trip! We were up at Moraine Lake lodge late at night for a drive and ran into a gray wolf pack (with a young pup) crossing the parking lot. We were standing by our truck at the time! Also watched a large brown bear lumber into the bush on the road up. We went horseback riding in Jasper and spotted a grizzly bear 30 feet away. I have lived and travelled around BC all my life and finally got these awesome wildlife sightings! Black bears are a dime a dozen all over BC but wolves and grizzlies are something special. Early morning and late night is best wildlife spotting times. You certainly captured the beauty of Tofino and my city, Vancouver. I've enjoyed your trip journal very much!
