Sit comfortably. It's going to be a long ride... you see every which way you look it's beautiful here...
(obligatory cliche photo)
(Yup, another canal. Venice is built on 118 little islands connected by 417 bridges, just so you know)
(old lady with dogs and tray of pastries, we couldn't find the patisserie, annoyingly)
(and then sometimes you make all your boys pose for you and they do and you know then they love you)
(If you're into modern art you can't miss the Peggy Guggenheim Gallery. Amazing. What a collection.
Sigh.)
(Ellsworth Kelly... there's got to be a quilt in that!)
(of course we went on a gondola... apparently No 3 ticked it off his bucket list. Bucket list. He's ten. I have weird children)
(... more water...)
(oh look... a canal)
(We also made the boys exercise... the fact the Hanish Kapoor supplied the gym equipment... was a happy coincidence... I'm sure he won't mind a bit of art interaction... note to self "always read the signs")
(yes, No 1 is THAT long/tall)
(No 2 decided to levitate instead. He says he relaxes him.)
(No 3 went for a spot of boardless skateboarding. Not that much fun apparently)
We walked and walked, and ate pasta and ice creams. And hang out together. And played Uno. And I lost as usual.
And we're ready for more adventures tomorrow.
wonderful adventures x

Goodness...where are all the tourists ? I don't think I have ever seen Venice without the hordes. Thanks for the lovely photos, enjoy the rest of your stay.

Oh what gorgeous--and fun--photos! You'll just have to go back to find the patisserie ;) And Uno is my all-time favorite game, despite the fact G usually wins. xx

Beautiful. I went to Venice about 4 years ago and totally fell in love with the place. Thank you for the lovely pictures, I'll have to go back and look at ours again. :-)
