Please take the word 'loot' as a figure of speech.
I didn't steal anything.
First up:
The softest, squishest yarn from Mrs Moon. It's called 'Plump' and it will become a super warm 'Mistake rib chunky snood' which will be perfect shelter for all the oncoming rugby/football/hockey matches.
Second:
Sock yarn - hand dyed indigo yarn to be precise from Tart's Art.
Thirdly I'm going to channel my inner Jane Eyre with this pattern:
(I think it's too big for this model, it look better on the mannequin...). Bought from Purl Alpaca Design.
Fourthly (is that even a word?) I will try teaching myself how to spin with the most gorgeous drop spindle known to man:
Handmade by Lucy the Tudor.
And last, but not least...
this stupendous ball (it was a skein... but it got balled on the side of the road whilst waiting for the rescue truck - see yesterday's post) which will become a pair of fingerless mittens. The yarn is called Soliloquy, and it's from Tall Yarns.
Phew.
That's it. It could have been worse, much much worse I tell ya... so many temptations...
Now if you'll excuse me I must attend to my chores so that I can play with this lot as soon as possible!
Sounds like you had the most fabulous weekend (except for the tire)! And I'm in love with the Plump in Tiffany blue--oooh! xx

Oh that spindle is indeed a thing of beauty. You have some truly delicious yarns there. I shall look forward to seeing what they all turn into. Enjoy! CJ xx

Loot is an excellent word for all the lovely things you got. Can't wait to see what you do with the spindle, be warned making your own yarn is addictive and can lead to large scale fibre acquisition.

Well I think you were very restrained and level headed in your choices. I love the speckled pinky yarn especially, it will make beautiful mittens!

Aah Yes, plumptious stuff, I wonder what the back of the jumper's like. A unique design, it'll keep your front warm; but with cold arms?

They are all lovely, but I really like that last ball, that is so pretty isn't it. I am sure that you will look better in the Jane Eyre, it needs a proper woman! xx

Ohhh nice! I love the spindle, it looks so tactile. What colour will the Jane Eyre be?
Shauna. x

Lovely loot! Doesn't yarn look beautiful in skeins? I know you have to ball it up to use it but it loses some of it's allure. I imagine that last ball looked stupendous as a skein.
