Dead simple - with a couple of mistakes when I forgot the pattern watching "The Hunger Games" on a plane (sock one) and "Downton Abbey" (sock two).
From the book "Socks from the toe-up".
Two balls of Lang yarn "Yawoll Superwash", in pale grey.
2.25mm needles as usual.
Short row heels.
Very warm and already worn once.
i need (really NEED) to make and wear a pair of hand knit socks. i think i could handle it just once...at least try.
the grey is perfect in my opinion.

What a great color for this time of year. I love when simple doesn't look so simple.

They look like they have a subtle marled effect, which is lovely. As are the socks. As are you :)

They look so warm and cosy. I do like toe-up construction, especially when I'm only half-concentrating. The oops moments in my current jumper are part Doctor Who, part TV football, and part train-to-work "Oh! That's my stop!"
Do they let you take knitting needles on planes now? Or do you use bamboo or acrylic needles? My precious little embroidery scissors got confiscated on a flight, so I'm reluctant to risk my knitting needles.

I love that yawoll range! I'm just attempting my first ever toe-up socks at the moment.

Have still to master the toe up sock.

totally l-o-v-e them
I need to practice the toe up sock but circulars on small diameters kills me (altough 2.25 mm needles and fingerin yarns allures me so so much)
ah tentatrice! Ho giusto un paio di gomitolini ocra di lana sottile sottile..

Socks that tolerate mistakes? Sound good to me. Love the colour.
