I'm going to start by apologising for the 'randomness' I'm going to dump on you, but I need to 'clear' my head otherwise things will get ugly 'round here.
Our friends have gone back home and I seem to struggle to find my drumbeat again. There seem to be too many things to do, to clean, to sort out, to tidy... to make.
So you, my friends, will help me and if my posts in the next couple of days won't make much sense... this is the reason why.
To start off: I received flowers in a box! From S. as a thank you.
The boys were really impressed with the packaging arrangements and speculated for ages about what kind of things you could potentially send in a box (I tried to explain that the flowers didn't actually come all the way from San Diego... but no... they know best. As always)
I also discovered today that I was the runner up on Silverpebble's 100th post give-away...
... I'm so 'out of it' at the moment I didn't even know I'd won!!
So it was a double surprise when this goodness popped through the letter box this morning
the sweetest earrings! gorgeous buttons! and the most wonderful lace doily!!
Thank you soooo sooo much Emma!
One day I'll get it together enough to catch up with you all, in the meantime, amongst trips to the recycling centre, doctors, supermarket, in between sorting out summer clothes and summer uniforms, 3980344 loads of washing and walking the dog I managed a little bit of this
(to keep me sane, you understand, don't you?)
Crochet is essential to one's sanity... without a doubt.

Understand that feeling - so much to do and catch up with and so many things running round in my head - and where does all this washing come from, there aren't even any children in this house.
Had great trouble getting M-in-law to see that phoning the local florist to ask them what they had was no good when sending a bouquet to the other side of England....

It's why we ALL do it (or something similar); to keep us sane :-)

Keep the randomness coming, it all gets better when it's shared!
Love those buttons, lucky you!

now that's a good day - flowers, treats in the post and a little bit of crochet in a fabulous colour!

Amen to crocheting sanity. Though given how counter-intuitive crochet is for me, perhaps I'd better stick to knitting or sticking or something.
I think we might be overdue a breakfast meeting... Not to add to the to-do list or anything.

Need to keep those small moments of sanity in a mad world ...

Just remember to breathe!
Loving your lacy crochet, as always.

Absolutely! Though at the moment crochet is actually driving me insane rather than curing my insanity!
And don't worry about the chores, errands, etc. Everything will get done in the end.

Don't worry, I barely know what month it is.
Glad you liked.
Keep the yarn in order with the hook, the rest will follow.
