I've been wanting to knit this since forever.
"Aimee" from the book 'Thrown together'. The pattern calls for Kidsilk Haze, I don't like its fuzziness so I used 4 balls of Artesano 100% Alpaca DK on 5 size needles (because I'm a ridiculously loose knitter).
Isn't it lovely?
That's gorgeous. If it wasn't summer and the middle of bushfire season I'd have one on the needles right now.
Lovely job!

It's really very pretty. One thing I've wondered about these capelet type shrugs...Do they flip up if you're wearing it while driving? I know that probably sounds like a crazy question, but I've thought about making a capelet type thing too and that's what always stopped me.

I was wondering how you put a coat on over this? I live in Chicago so a coat or jacket is necessary much of the year. Still, it's gorgeous.

I am really late here, but anyway, I must say this looks gorgeous!
I am not a great fan of fuzziness myself and think your Aimee is the most beautiful I have ever seen. I have the book here and wanted to make an Aimee, too but wasn't sure what yarn to use... now I will go through my stash again! Thanks for the inspiration!
