I don't know about you, but me? I'm easily distracted. This next project is a case in point... I began with tidying up a drawer and ended up with a (beach) bag.
Easily done really... you find lots of balls of colourful cotton, some left over from old jobs, some purchased in chairty shops, you put the all together in a box... they look so pretty, oh wouldn't they look great together in something... the crochet hooks are nearby...
and before you know it... you forgot about the drawer completely.
and about your family and about dinner and laundry and that strange object called vacuum cleaner and all you do is crochet. For days. Because after all you're only doing this to get rid of old stuff in a drawer, right? and it's not costing you any money, right? You are recycling. That's it, you're saving the planet.
It was inspired by this bag here, except I made mine in cotton and much bigger. And I lined it for strength.
lovely bag and such a clever way to tidy a drawer too!

Oh, it's BEAUTIFUL. So happy and colorful! Now I know what to do with all my leftover Sugar'n Cream cotton yarn after I am done with all my dishcloths! Thanks for the inspiration!

ooh it's lovely, I wish I found lovely balls of cotton when I tidy, I usually find old elastic bands, and packets of tissues...

Fabulous. I think crochet is even more meditative than knitting; when I'm crocheting my (never-ending) blanket it seems like the only thing in the world.

When I decide to save the planet, it is seldom that pretty. The lure of crochet... calling, calling.

Oohhh! You are sooo naughty! The bag is fabulous, I clicked the link to Attic24, lost ALOT of time purusing that beatiful blog and now I need to learn to crochet IMMEDIATELY! Yes I know I'm knitting and scrapbooking and sewing at the moment and don't have enough time already but I want a blanket!!! See what you started!!!

Oh how totally fabulous! Better a maker of stripy gorgeousenss than a vacuum cleaning housefrau. OR so I keep telling myself.
It looks beautiful, love the colours you've used.
Reminds me, I've started a smaller version in cotton yarn too and haven't finished it..need to get that back out, you've inspired me.
Thanks for sharing

LOVE It! I have also made this bag but changed it from the original inspiration of Attic 24's bag. Now I'll have to post pics of mine, lol! I still have to add the straps to mine, though.
We should ask Attic 24 to start a Flickr group to help fuel the craze!

Great bag! And there is nothing wrong with toasted sandwiches for dinner every now and then. After all,you are making something Useful not sitting around twiddling your thumbs. The laundry and vacuuming will always be there when you have done crocheting!

It looks fantastic - honestly, I'm in love! ;-)
I can just see it at the beach. It just shouts "summer!" The bright colours are so good on the eyes when everything outside is still so drab and grey.
