when you have a house full of relatives too look after.
My mother and aunt were over from Italy and although my ironing basket is virtually empty (it's bottomless one. It is impossible to empty it...) I haven't had time to do much crafting.
We played tourists:
And so found ourselves amongst some...
scary sculptures
some bizarre sculptures
the flowers were gorgeous though
Poppies everywhere
We shopped 'a little' (three Italian women together? shopping is inevitable)
and a little more
and a tiny bit more (couldn't be helped)
But I did find some little time for a spot of sewing:
(it's a portable changing mat for my sister in law...)
And today after a trip to the airport the house is empty again. Quieter too, but I'm always sad when my mum leaves.
very strange sculptures! love the poppy photo and the colours in that wool!

Intriguing sculptures! I know that quiet empty house feeling. It was just the same when my mum went back to America after a visit in January :(

Is the castle reflected in water in the first photo? That shot and the poppy one are just incredible.

You might think that your mum has gone home but I am sure that if you started getting up to mischief she would be back in a flash!

Your photography never ceases to amaze me :) Great job! So sorry your visitors had to leave, but I'm so glad you got in 'a little' shopping ;)

I love your photos. I so know your feeling of sadness when your mum leaves. My mum lives in England - a long way from Australia. And my ironing basket fills up until she comes again (not quite, but it does feel that way)

Now I've only just found your blog today, courtesy of being re-directed by the Magpie Blog files. I was delighted to find your pictures of Sudeley Castle which we visited for the first time on Saturday. You have a real talent with the camera and I have very much enjoyed reading your blog - thank you.
