It's going to be one of those weeks, I just know it. I feel like taking a couple of paracetamols 'just in case' because I know it's heading that way... do you ever have that feeling? "impending doom" is a bit dramatic... but you know what I mean...
As I type this I can see on the kitchen table No 1 has forgotten his phone at home, No 3 has left his homework on the counter and No 2's post opening presents frenzy has left a trail of destruction I can't even begin to tackle. Which of the 'bits' is a keeper? Does he need this box? This envelope? Will he notice if I take his money?
Yes, it's No 2's birthday today and I'm surprised you don't know about it... he's been mentioning to everybody for the past 6 months!
(yes, that orange sugar really does glow!)
Anyway, I've had a nice weekend. Did you have a nice weekend?
Mr M and I kicked it off with an evening out.
(The unbelievable truth, David Mitchell, Graeme Garden, Jon Naismith (producer) Tony Hawks)
Not too high brow... but brilliantly funny!
Saturday we took two of the boys (No 1 had hurt his knee playing rugby so he was let off) to the opening of The Wilson.
(This little print was tucked away in a corner... don't you think it would make a gorgeous quilt?)
Sunday was a whirlwind or rugby training, rugby watching, cooking and washing and ironing, walking the dog and homework.
(Although I did manage to head back to the Festival and listen to Emma Thomspon (what a lady) and her mother Phyllida Law which was great).
Haven't watched Downton yet.
I did manage to do my nails.
I need new flowers
AND AND AND... I need your help. Mr M and I will be spending a few days in Nashville; we'll fly to Atlanta, grab a car, well, hire one, we're not going to steal one, and drive to Nashville, maybe taking a few days to do that... it all depends on your suggestions!! What to see? Any good music places? Shopping? Please anything will be useful! (yarn stores? quilt shops?)
