Two days to go to the official end of summer... I knew we had to celebrate, I mean make the most of it. (In all fairness we had a gorgeous time this year, been there and everywhere and cannot even complain about the weather. I'm a little sad it's over.)
I packed up my three, plus Spanish boy who doesn't speak, plus No 2's friend who somehow stayed for a sleepover last night (how did that happened? who agreed? I feel bamboozled) into the car for a day of cycling in the Forest of Dean.
I felt a bit like a sheep dog herding... well, sheep, but we had a fabulous time. Most of the time in actual fact I was trying to keep up with them. There must have been a problem with my bike, that's it, it was the bike. Too slow.
I saw plenty of blackberry bushes too and I know that I failed in my duty as a blogger to pick them. Today I should have been making blackberry jam with my offsprings, design cute labels and cut pretty fabric to cover the jars.
In the words of No 1: epic fail.
Like I said, my bike was slow... I had to keep going.
