Nothing says to me "I'm home" like sitting at my sewing machine.
First thing first... a "thank you" project.
You might remember than when I was at my mum this July just gone, with a pile of gorgeous Oakshott fabric to play, her 42 yr old Singer broke down (died actually). A 'neighbour' (in the loosest possible term, more like... someone in the next village down the valley...) came to my rescue and so I was able to complete my quilt tops, blah blah blah....
Scrappy thank you placemats. All fabric from the stash, all different, but for the same back and border.
Quilting on my Janome 1600 is such a dream... and fast so fast.
I'm sitting at the kitchen table typing, Mr M is watching football (soccer...) on TV and the boys are playing a very heated racing game on the xbox... my boys plus the Spanish boy No 1 came home with. (It was an arranged swap, he didn't just randomly grab one on his way home!). He doesn't speak much (at all) but he seems to fit in ok... they're all laughing so hard, it's quite lovely to hear.
