It's time for me to rest my crochet hand.
It's time for some sewing, right?
The story goes something like this... a few weeks ago I visited the Oakshott store/office near my hometown (ridiculously close actually, why didn't I ever go before... it's a mistery) and got talking to the lovely people there. One chat lead to another and before I knew it I was introduced to their two new fabulous ranges and asked to design a couple of quilts to show them off.
Would I mind? well... twist my arm... oh ok then, I'll do it!
The fabric was still in India at this point but a few of days ago it arrived here, in deepest Tuscany for me to stroke and plan and dream and stare at. You get my drift.
Two new ranges will be launched at 'The Festival of Quilts' in Birmingham, UK, (8th - 11th August 2013).
The first one is called "LAKES":
Blues in every beautiful shades... skies reflected on still glacial lakes, deep lakes, and forest lakes...
The other one is called ITALY:
All the colours of my amazing country in 12 fat quarters! the sky and the mountains, the sea and the snow, the flowers, the sunsets and sunrises, the patina of old buildings... all there.
Be sure to visit the Show and the Oakshott stand.
Oakshott are offering vouchers for the Festival of Quilts to every reader that will send them an email and mention this post!
How about that?
See you there?
