Way back when, when I first started blogging there was this popular feature doing the rounds called 'corner of my home'. On a regular basis people posted photogoraphs of their homes that represented their life in a particular way, in a particular time.
Often looking around me I can see 'photographs' that perfectly illustrate 'our' lives. The range of dirty clothes around the empty and open laundry basket in the boys' bathroom, the 47639 posters/drawings/photos on No 2's wall, the three quilts in a big pile on the sofa in the playroom, the empty cereal box returned to the breakfast drawer, the many projects on my desk... they're all snapshots that tell stories about us.
And so when I saw this:
I had to smile.
This is where we are. This is what life with three boys is all about: tennis rackets, baseball bats, cricket stumps and bat, hockey sticks... plus all the footballs, rugby balls, hockey and cricket and tennis balls at the bottom of the crate. Plus the bikes and the scooter in the garage. The frisbies. The bowling balls.
There's no end to it. (there's no end to amount of washing that all the above creates either, but that's another photo for another day!)
Incidentally the crate was meant to be for outdoor shoes... ha. That obviously didn't work.
What's in your corner?
