The crochet border stops the shawl from rolling and adds a whimsical touch.
And it didn't cost a penny.

That is absolutely gorgeous! The crochet edging is a stroke of genius. How very satisfying! Can I cheekily ask where you got your crochet edging pattern from as that is too lovely not to copy (God knows my stash is large enough to support a similar item!).

Where did my comment disappear to? I left you a very flattering one, right before I begged you to crochet a border on the too short sleeves of my cardigan that I have been knitting for TWO YEARS now. That thing needs to be finished. I cannot bear to rip the sleeves out. Again.
